How to check if a project in Pune is RERA registered
To check if a project in Pune is RERA registered, find its MahaRERA registration number on the advertisement or brochure, search for that number or the project name on FlatNama or on the official MahaRERA website, and check that the developer, location and possession date match what you were told. Under the RERA Act, residential projects above a minimum size must be registered before they are advertised or sold.
- Find the registration numberEvery advertisement, brochure and website for a registered project must show its MahaRERA registration number. Older numbers start with P521; newer ones start with PR, PM, PC or PP followed by 126.
- Search for itType the number, or the project name, into the FlatNama search box. You do not need to sign up, and nobody will call you.
- Match the detailsCheck that the developer name, location and PIN code on the project page match what the brochure or sales team told you. Several phases of one project are often registered separately, each with its own number.
- Check the possession date and statusNote the registered possession date, whether it has been extended, and the MahaRERA status (Active or Lapsed).
- Confirm on MahaRERA before you payBefore you sign or pay, confirm the details on the official MahaRERA website (maharera.maharashtra.gov.in), using the project search there.
If you cannot find the project
If no registration number is given, ask for it in writing. If the number does not match the project name or location, ask the developer to explain. FlatNama lists residential projects in 66 PIN codes of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad: every Active project, and Lapsed or Completed projects that changed in the latest MahaRERA update. Recently completed projects are listed as Ready to move.
